Build the PCS timeline backward from report date
A Davis-Monthan AFB PCS checklist works best when it starts with report date and moves backward. Orders, lender preapproval, home sale timing, rental notice, temporary lodging, household goods, school enrollment, childcare, pets, utilities, vehicle documents, and travel all need their own deadlines.
The goal is to identify dependencies. Utility setup may require a service address, school enrollment may require proof of residence, EFMP coordination may require medical or educational records, a purchase contract may require lender documents before offer submission, and household goods delivery may require keys before the truck can unload.
- Track orders, IDs, lender documents, insurance quotes, school records, IEP or 504 documents, pet records, vehicle documents, and travel paperwork.
